Documents that are required to apply for issuance (extension) of a permit for temporary residence of foreigners and stateless persons in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan

• Foreigners and stateless persons must submit the following documents to obtain a permit for temporary residence in the Republic of Azerbaijan:
• An application form specimen of which was approved by the relevant executive authority;
• A copy of the passport or other documents for crossing the border (with a validity period of at least three months longer than the date of expiry of the temporary residence permit);
• A notarized copy of the birth certificate or other equivalent documents (for persons under 18 years of age without a passport);
• A document confirming the existence of any case that provides a basis for issuance of a temporary residence permit in a notary or equivalent order;
• A reference paper certifying that the person is not a carrier of any disease that is on the list of dangerous infectious diseases approved by the relevant executive authority;
• A copy of the document that entitles to stay or reside temporarily in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan;
• A justified application of the department, enterprise or organization that invites foreigners and stateless persons to the Republic of Azerbaijan who are high-level professionals in economic, military, scientific, cultural, sports and other fields;
• Two photos (3.5 x 4.5 cm);
• The document of residence where a person will be registered (excerpt from the state registration of real property on the right of registration, guarantee of title, leasing or lease contract or other document provided for in the legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan
• An application of a person who provides a foreigner or stateless person with a place of residence (except for cases when a foreigner or stateless person is the owner of the place of residence);
• A copy of the identity document of a person providing a foreigner or stateless person with a place of residence (except for cases when a foreigner or stateless person is the owner of a residence);
• A receipt on payment of the state fee;

Receipt of state fee must be provided when issuing a permit for temporary residence in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan issued to a foreigner or stateless person. Handprints and fingerprints of the person used to obtain a temporary residence permit (except for children under 15 years of age) must be taken in accordance with biometric identification requirements
